Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Part-time (3 days per week) Permanent Salary: Paid to scale pro-rata An Outstanding 11-18 secondary school in Shropshire is seeking a part-time French Teacher to join its small but dedicated Modern Foreign Languages department.

This role would suit a teacher looking for a reduced working week within a supportive close-knit staff community. You will teach French across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (AQA) with the possibility of contributing to A-level French where the schools timetable allows.

As part of a small department you will play an important role in MFL enrichment days and whole-school cultural events helping to keep languages visible and valued across the school. The role also includes maintaining accurate assessment records and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress.

School Information This is a well-regarded 11-18 school serving a rural community with a genuinely small-school feel despite its all-through age range. Staff describe a close supportive working environment where colleagues know and support one another well and where flexible working arrangements are taken seriously by leadership.

The MFL department though small is ambitious about maintaining strong uptake of languages at GCSE.
