Despatcher Aldermaston Salary: Training salary £40,000 per annum, rising to £48,971 + benefits Outsource UK have partnered with Exolum on a retained basis to recruit an IT Support Engineer on a permanent basis. Exolum are a global, forward thinking, inclusive employer who are at the forefront of their industry and going through a real period of growth This is a critical operations role responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of fuel movements through a pipeline network.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor the pipeline network via SCADA and other control systems. Act as a central point of contact for routine, abnormal, and emergency pipeline scenarios. Liaise with shippers, scheduling teams, pipeline technicians, and maintenance staff to coordinate operations safely and efficiently.
Record, monitor, and report alarm conditions, near misses, and incidents to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. Shift Pattern (24/7 Operations) 5-week rotating shift pattern: - Week 1: 3 days, 3 nights, 11 off - Week 2: 4 days, 6 off - Week 3: 4 nights, 4 off - Repeat In addition to rest days built into the pattern, you'll have 11 days of annual leave to book as preferred.
About You We're looking for a detail-oriented and calm individual with proven experience in a similar operational or industrial environment.
Essential
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Previous experience in a pipeline, despatcher, or control room role Exposure to industrial sectors such as Oil
