FX Options Trader

Overview

In this role you will manage FX option risk, price vanilla and exotic products, and drive revenue for the trading desk. You will collaborate with Sales, Research and other Markets teams to deliver trades and uphold governance. You’ll assess risk, ensure controls and regulatory compliance, and support certification requirements. You will cultivate client relationships, anticipate demand, and coordinate with desk analysts to grow the franchise.

Responsibilities

• Manage FX option risk and price vanilla and exotic products for the trading book
• Trade the book to achieve budgeted revenues and control risk
• Coordinate with Sales, Research, CMand and other Markets/Securities Services teams
• Develop and maintain relationships to source and deliver trades
• Anticipate client demand and coordinate with desk analysts and Sales to grow the franchise
• Uphold governance and control infrastructure with Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance
• Assess risk/reward of transactions and align with Citis Code of Conduct and Plan of Supervision
• Obtain and maintain required registrations/licenses and ensure ongoing fitness and propriety for the role

Key requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in a related role
• Knowledge of FX options products and clients
• Required licensing and registrations as applicable
• Advanced analytical and numerical competency
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Effective interpersonal skills to build internal/external relationships
• Ability to analyze situations and identify suitable counterparties
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol and closing technicalities
• Bachelor in any field (Master’s degree preferred)
• FCA/PRA Certification regime familiarity and related assessments
