General Foreman

General Foreman – Civils / Public Realm Location: North East England Salary: Up to £55,000 + Car Allowance Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time We are currently looking to speak with an experienced General Foreman to join an established civil engineering contractor on a permanent, salaried basis.

The role will involve overseeing the delivery of a range of civil engineering and public realm projects across the North East, including active travel schemes, cycleways, paving, kerbing and associated infrastructure works.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on General Foreman with a strong background in civils, who is comfortable managing site teams, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Key Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day site operations across civil engineering and public realm projects.
• Managing and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and plant.
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Monitoring progress and reporting to Site and Project Management teams.
• Coordinating materials, labour and resources to maintain productivity.
• Ensuring works are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Requirements
• Previous experience working as a General Foreman or in a similar supervisory position within civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of public realm, highways or infrastructure works.
• Experience with activities such as paving, kerbing, cycleways, footpaths or associated groundworks.
• Ability to manage site teams and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
• Full UK driving licence. Package
• Salary up to £55,000, depending on experience.
• Car allowance.
• Permanent, salaried position.
