GENERAL MANAGER – BRIX LDN 60k per year *

Bankside / London Bridge, London

BRIX LDN is looking for an experienced, commercially driven General Manager to lead our team at one of Bankside's most versatile hospitality and events venues.

Located in the heart of Bankside, London Bridge , BRIX is far more than a restaurant. We are a high-volume, multi-functional venue combining a 120-cover restaurant, main bar, private and corporate event spaces, and a dedicated vinyl & agave bar in the basement .

Our calendar is constantly evolving. One night we might be hosting a corporate dinner or full venue hire, the next a live music event, bottomless brunch, club night, product launch or celebrity after-party.

We are therefore looking for a GM who understands the energy, organisation and commercial demands of running a busy restaurant, bar and events operation under one roof .

THE ROLE As General Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation and commercial performance of BRIX.

You will lead from the front, ensuring that our restaurant, bars and events operation consistently deliver an excellent guest experience while maintaining strong financial and operational controls.

This is not a role for someone whose experience is limited to a traditional restaurant environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing a venue that can change dramatically from one day to the next.

  • You will be responsible for:
  • Leading, motivating and developing the management and front-of-house teams
  • Overseeing the 120-cover restaurant, main bar and basement vinyl & agave bar
  • Managing high-volume corporate events, private hires, brunches, club events, live events and after-parties
  • Working closely with the kitchen, bar and events teams to ensure seamless delivery
  • Driving revenue across food, beverage, events and private hire
  • Managing labour costs, rotas, stock, margins and other key operational KPIs
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of service, presentation and guest experience
  • Recruiting, training and developing a strong hospitality team
  • Ensuring licensing, health & safety and operational procedures are followed
  • Building relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, promoters and regular guests
  • Identifying new opportunities to grow revenue and maximise the potential of the venue

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR You will already have General Manager, Deputy General Manager or senior venue management experience within a high-volume restaurant, bar, events or late-night hospitality business .

Experience within a multi-functional venue is particularly important. We need someone who understands that successfully running a 120-cover restaurant service requires a different approach to delivering a 300+ guest corporate event, a busy brunch or a late-night event — and who can confidently move between them.

You should be:

Commercially minded – you understand the numbers and know how to grow revenue while controlling costs.

Operationally strong – organised, calm under pressure and able to manage complex events and busy services.

A genuine leader – visible on the floor, respected by your team and able to create a strong culture.

Events experienced – comfortable delivering everything from corporate events and private hires to live music and late-night events.

Guest focused – passionate about hospitality and maintaining standards regardless of how busy the venue becomes.

Hands-on – this is a leadership role within a busy independent venue, not a desk-based management position.

We need a strong, confident and experienced General Manager who takes complete ownership of the business .

The right person will be a natural leader with real presence — someone who can command the respect of the team, set clear standards and lead from the front. They need to be visible on the floor, decisive when problems arise and able to remain calm and in control during extremely busy services and large-scale events.

They must have a commercial mindset , understanding that a great GM is not only responsible for service but also for the performance of the business. They should understand sales, labour, margins, stock, profitability and how to maximise every revenue opportunity across the restaurant, bars, private hire and events.

We want someone with an ownership mentality . Someone who doesn't wait to be told what needs doing, spots problems before they become problems and constantly looks for ways to improve the venue, develop the team and grow revenue.

Above all, we need someone with energy, personality, resilience and ambition . A GM who understands hospitality, understands the numbers and has the confidence and experience to take control of a large, busy venue and drive it forward.

BRIX is an independent venue with personality and ambition.

Our combination of restaurant, bars, music, nightlife and events means no two weeks are the same. We work with corporate clients, brands, promoters, artists and some of London's most interesting creative communities.

For the right General Manager, this is an opportunity to take ownership of an established Bankside venue and play a major role in its next stage of growth.
