Generator Test Engineer

Generator Test Engineer - Permanent Position Sheffield Salary: £78,000 DOE We're currently looking for an experienced Generator Test Engineer to support long-term works on a major project in Sheffield. This role is a mix of hands-on testing, commissioning support, and client interaction, working alongside a Tier 1 contractor to ensure generator systems are delivered, tested, and operating to spec.

The Role

Carry out generator testing including load bank testing Support commissioning and handover of generator systems Fault finding and troubleshooting during testing phases Attend and contribute to client / Tier 1 meetings Review and discuss technical specifications and system performance Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with project requirements

What We're Looking For

Proven experience working with generators (diesel / temporary power) Experience with load bank testing and commissioning Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Ability to read and understand electrical drawings / schematics Confident communicating with clients and site teams Previous experience working alongside Tier 1 contractors (desirable) Ideal Background: Generator Engineer Commissioning Engineer (Power / Electrical) Electrical Engineer with testing experience Temporary power / events power experience Interested?
