What we are looking for: Farnborough Airport Limited is looking to recruit a proactive Ground Handler to join the wider Ground Handling team in offering a bespoke handling service to our customers. Role Responsibilities :Within this role, you will work as part of a team to provide a first-class service to passengers and crew .

Key responsibilities includ e:Providing an efficient marshalling service to arriving aircraf t.Performing aircraft pushback and towing including manoeuvring aircraft into and out of hangar s.Undertaking a variety of manual handling activities including lifting and manoeuvring heavy objects and equipment in accordance with the safe principles of manual handlin g.Carrying out aircraft refuelling and aviation fuel quality control activitie s.Safely and efficiently servicing aircraft toilets and water supplie s.Performing baggage handling, ensuring the safe loading, and unloading of customer luggage which may include large and oversized item s.Carrying out aircraft de-icing (including working at heights) and de-icing quality control activitie s.Assisting where needed in conditions of adverse weather and during emergency response s.Providing special assistance to passengers and live animal s.Providing support and assistance to crew and our Customer Services team where reasonably require d.Clearly and concisely communicating through radio and telecommunication systems, computer devices and electronic reporting system s.Carrying out pre-use equipment inspection s.Cleaning, inspecting, refuelling and assisting in the maintenance of Ground Service Equipment (GSE ).Staying up to date with and completing role related or company-wide theoretical and practical trainin g.Consistently demonstrate and encourage others to adhere to the company values of Proud, Passionate, Ambition and Togethe r.Contribute to the Company's aspiration of becoming an Employer of Choice and Responsibility in the local area by actively participating in our volunteering opportunities where possibl e.Demonstrate engagement with and adherence to the Company's policies, procedures, guidelines, wellbeing initiatives and reporting channels to ensure all work is carried out safely and to the highest standards, including but not limited t o:Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Compliance and Environmental standards / legislatio n.Aerodrome license and CAA standard s.Appropriate Workplace Behaviour, UK Modern Slavery and General Data Protection & Retention (GDPR) Policie s.Support the team with adhoc activities/tasks as reasonably requeste d.

About you

Skills, Qualifications and Experie nceEssent ialEvidence of Right to Work in the UK.Full 5-year employment/educational history required (with no unaccounted-for gap s).Able to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check (CRC) certificate to the required security clearance level for this ro le.Hold a full valid UK Driving License or equivale nt.Flexible in approach and able to work across a variety of shift patterns (including public holidays and weekend s).Be able to lift passengers' bags and oversize items in excess of 20 kg.Must be able to meet the requirements to obtain an Airside Driving Perm it.Diligent in following policies and procedur es.Literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to interpret mathematical information and perform calculatio ns.Strong verbal and written communication skil ls.Competent user of IT.Pro-active, can-do attitude, with the ability to work under own initiative and as part of a te am.

Desir ablePrevious experience of working around aircraft, ideally in a ground handling/ramp agent capac ity. Previous experience of radio procedu res. Knowledge of airside saf ety.LGV license or experience driving oversized vehic les.
