Group Financial Controller

Overview

In this role you will lead financial control and business partnering for a portfolio of London hotels, reporting to the Head of Finance. You’ll own reporting, forecasting, and governance while collaborating with General Managers and Regional Operations to boost revenue, productivity, and profitability. You will translate financial data into actionable guidance for operations and support growth initiatives. This is a chance to shape financial performance across multiple sites within a global hospitality group.

Responsibilities

• Lead management accounts, budgeting and forecasting across the portfolio
• Deliver accurate, timely management information
• Track KPIs, trends and market benchmarks to identify risks and opportunities
• Hold hotel teams accountable for financial performance
• Work with hotel leadership on revenue, labour productivity and profitability
• Present performance and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Maintain financial controls and compliance across the portfolio
• Support audits and risk management
• Lead and develop a regional finance team
• Improve processes and ways of working across the portfolio
• Act as senior finance partner supporting operational and commercial decisions
• Provide analysis and challenge on revenue, profitability and ROI
• Support business cases and growth initiatives

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (or actively studying)
• Experience as a Financial Controller, Cluster Financial Controller, Regional Finance lead or Finance Business Partner
• Hotel, leisure or multi-site experience preferred
• Confident influencing senior operational stakeholders
• Track record of improving financial performance
• Experience leading and developing a team
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, reporting tools and hotel PMS
