Group Financial Controller

Overview

In this leadership role, you will backbone the finance function of a growing, PE-backed industrial group. You’ll strengthen governance, modernise reporting and systems, and develop a high-performing finance team to support strategic ambitions. Reporting to the Group CFO, you drive commercial insight and tangible improvements across multi-site operations. This is a chance to shape a finance function that delivers real value through transformation and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own group reporting, governance and financial controls
• Lead and develop the finance team across multiple sites
• Drive reporting enhancements, process improvements and system upgrades
• Collaborate with Group CFO and senior stakeholders to enable better commercial decisions
• Support transformation initiatives and scale the finance function for growth

Key requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience in a complex, multi-site industrial, manufacturing or operationally intensive business
• Proven track record in improving financial reporting, controls and processes
• Ability to own group reporting and governance
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities
• Commercial acumen and stakeholder influence
• Proactive, solutions-focused, with change management mindset
• Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth/transformation environment (advantageous)
