Due to continued expansion and ambitious growth plans, they are seeking an experienced Group Operations Director to join the executive leadership team and work alongside the CEO to drive the next phase of business growth.
This is a pivotal appointment that will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple business units, with full accountability for operational performance, project delivery, profitability, safety, quality and long-term growth.A key focus of the role will be supporting the group's expansion within the EHV market, making this an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven experience delivering projects from 132kV to 400kV.The RoleAs Group Operations Director, you will provide leadership across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects ranging from 11kV through to 400kV, ensuring exceptional operational, commercial and safety performance throughout the business.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will play a leading role in shaping business strategy, scaling operations and strengthening the group's market position across the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and operational leadership across multiple business unitsLead and develop operational teams to ensure consistent project delivery and business performanceDrive operational excellence, safety, quality and client satisfaction throughout the organisationHold full responsibility for group-wide operational performance and P&L deliveryLead the group's expansion into the EHV market, leveraging your experience delivering 132kV to 400kV installation and infrastructure projectsOversee the successful delivery of complex power and infrastructure projects ranging from 11kV to 400kVManage the commercial and contractual performance of major projects and frameworksProvide executive oversight of NEC and FIDIC contract deliveryIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and self-delivery capabilitySupport business development, tendering and strategic growth initiativesStrengthen relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partnersDevelop and mentor senior operational leaders across the organisationCandidate RequirementsProven leadership experience within the Power, Utilities, Energy or Infrastructure sectorsPrevious experience operating at Operations Director, Regional Director, Business Unit Director, Managing Director or equivalent levelStrong understanding of power infrastructure, transmission and distribution project deliveryDemonstrable experience delivering projects from 132kV to 400kVStrong commercial awareness with experience managing large-scale contracts and project portfoliosWorking knowledge of NEC and/or FIDIC contractual frameworksTrack record of driving business growth, operational performance and profitabilityExcellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to influence business strategy at executive levelWhat's on OfferBasic salary up to 165,000 per annumAnnual bonusExecutive benefits packageOpportunity to join a growing and ambitious infrastructure groupSignificant influence on the future direction of the businessLong-term career opportunity with board-level exposureOpportunity to play a key role in expanding the group's presence within the EHV marketThis is a rare opportunity for an experienced operational leader to join a growing organisation and make a genuine impact on its future growth, capability and market position within the UK power and infrastructure sector.
