Job Description Group Team Leader We are seeking an experienced Group Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will lead a small team on the shop floor, ensuring safe, efficient production of sheet metal and fabricated products while meeting quality and output targets.
Key responsibilities
Lead, coach and motivate a team of operators to achieve daily production targets and maintain high standards of quality and safety Plan and allocate work, monitor progress and adjust resources to meet deadlines Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and production procedures Train and develop team members, carry out performance reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives Troubleshoot production issues, support first-line technical fixes and liaise with maintenance/engineering as required Monitor inventory of materials and report shortages or non-conformances Maintain accurate production records and contribute to shift handovers Required
skills and experience
Previous manufacturing/production experience, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role Hands-on experience with sheet metal or fabricated products and an understanding of production processes for these items Strong leadership and communication skills, able to motivate and manage a diverse team Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Basic numeracy and the ability to read production drawings and specifications Commitment to health & safety and quality standards
Desirable
Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with fabrication tooling and equipment
