A start-up in Edinburgh developing a one-of-a-kind technology is looking for a hardware engineer with a desire to work across the stack, from PCB to FPGAs to RF architecture.

Here, you'll have a significant degree of ownership, working on 3 complex projects within the first month, and you'll be afforded the freedom to design systems for brand new technology in your own way. Responsibilities Architect & design complex hardware using modern development practices, including AI-assisted workflows where relevant Generating & verifying rapid prototypes to prove new concepts prior to a full design Ensuring DFM & EMC using various simulation softwares Co-author new patents & IP Technical Requirements ~5 years of electronics design experience & at least a BSc in electronics engineering or similar PCB Design experience with Altium or equivalent CAD software Power electronics design & modelling experience Strong grasp or experience with RF design & FPGA/ASIC systems Bonus Skills 3D modelling or mechanical design experience Experience with AI-assisted workflows Benefits Opportunity to work with the most bleeding-edge technologies Share options 25 days holiday which increases year on year Competitive pension scheme If you're an experienced hardware engineer who wants to contribute directly to developing ground-breaking novel IP, contribute to patents, and increase the ownership of the projects you work on.
