Head of English - Champion Literacy and Inspire Students in Newham! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head of English to join our team in Newham. You will lead a thriving department and champion literacy across the school.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the English department. Develop and implement an engaging and challenging English curriculum. Lead and manage a team of dedicated English teachers. Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies to ensure high attainment.
Lead on departmental CPD and ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning. Manage departmental resources effectively. Develop and maintain strong links with the wider school community. We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.

Degree in English or a related subject. Proven leadership experience in a secondary school setting. Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A passion for English literature and a commitment to student success.
