We are recruiting for an experienced Heating Engineer to join an established business covering Colchester and the surrounding area. This is a permanent position offering excellent working hours, no call‑out rota and a company vehicle.

The role

</br>

• </br>
• Service, diagnose and repair domestic gas heating appliances
• </br>
• Attend boiler breakdowns and identify faults
• </br>
• Work towards a high first-time-fix rate
• </br>
• Carry out gas tightness testing and safety checks
• </br>
• Use flue gas analysers and diagnostic equipment
• </br>
• Install and replace boilers, radiators and TRVs
• </br>
• Carry out power flushing and general heating maintenance
• </br>
• Complete occasional plumbing work
• </br>
• Record completed works and materials through company systems
• </br>
• Maintain van stock and deliver excellent customer service as a Heating Engineer
• </br>
• Oil heating work where appropriately qualified
• </br>

The successful Heating Engineer will need

• </br>
• Current domestic gas ACS qualifications
• </br>
• Strong boiler servicing, breakdown and fault-finding experience
• </br>
• Good knowledge of domestic heating systems
• </br>
• Experience with heating installation and maintenance
• </br>
• Ability to diagnose faults independently
• </br>
• Full UK driving licence
• </br>
• Oil qualifications/experience would be advantageous
• </br>
• Professional approach and strong customer service skills expected of a Heating Engineer
• </br>

Package

• </br>
• £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience and qualifications
• </br>
• Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
• </br>
• No call‑out rota
• </br>
• Optional weekend overtime may be available
• </br>
• Company vehicle and fuel card

• Flue gas analyser provided
• </br>
