We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers, to join our busy and evolving transport team in Runcorn. Youll be working for a leading logistics company and involved in ensuring that the trade counters across the country have sufficient stocks in order to supply their customers needs.
Everything from screws to lawn mowers to the kitchen sink! Our available starting times are as follows! Monday Friday10 hour shifts starting at 01:00, 02:00, 03:00, 04:00, 05:00 and 06:00.Pay, benefits and more: Were looking to offer a salary of up to £44,838.43per annum plus unsocial premiums per annum and 31 days inclusive of bank holidays.

What you'll do on a typical day: Collection and delivery of small to large high-value consignments that require special handling conditions to Screwfix storesConsistently ensure customer expectations are metEnsure all documentation is completed and returned accurately at the end of each shiftAdhere to specific time restrictions given under current legislationDriving activities will generally consist of inter-site and intra-site deliveries, supplier collections around the UKWhat you need to be successful at GXO:Must have a valid Class 1 licence with a full CPC qualificationMust hold Digital tachograph cardMust not have more than 7 points on licenceStrong communication skills, particularly verbal, to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customersExperience of multi drop collection and deliveries together with experience of working in a warehouse environment will be an advantage, although full training will be provided
