HGV Class 1 Driver – Carrington, Greater Manchester People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Carrington, Greater Manchester . This is a fantastic opportunity offering £17.00 per hour, Monday-to-Friday working, early morning starts, weekly pay and ongoing work with a leading logistics business. £17.00 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | 04:00–07:00 Starts | Weekly Pay | Guaranteed Minimum Shift Pay | Ongoing Work This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or HGV Trunking Driver. Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• AM start times between 04:00 – 07:00
• Approximately 10-hour shifts Rates of Pay
• £17.00 per hour

• Long-term work opportunities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:
• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing trunking and drop-and-swap duties
• Operating curtain-sided vehicles and trailers
• Securing loads using straps where required
• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Reporting customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues
• Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph and road transport regulations Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability Desirable Experience
• Previous HGV trunking or drop-and-swap experience
• Experience operating curtain-sided trailers
• Previous experience securing loads using straps Training Provided
• First-day driver assessment
• Industry-related training provided
