HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver - Burton upon Trent People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Burton upon Trent. You will be working in Burton Upon Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Monday to Friday work, and long-term opportunities for the right candidates.

There is also an incentive bonus of up to £550 available during the forthcoming peak period. This would suit applicants who have worked as an HGV/LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Tramper Driver.

Rates of Pay: £22.25 per hour (Midnight - 11:59am) £24.25 per hour (12:00pm - 11:59pm) £26.85 per hour (Saturdays) £28.25 per hour (Sundays and Bank Holidays) Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Day and Night shifts available AM start times between 01:00 and 04:00 PM start times between 17:00 and 19:00

Duties

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are: Safely operating Category C+E vehicles, predominantly double-decker trailers Completing store deliveries and collections Handling palletised goods and cages Carrying out night deliveries using the air lock process where required Making timely deliveries to various destinations Communicating effectively with the transport team Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations Ensuring full compliance with driving laws and Working Time Directive regulations Completing all relevant paperwork and vehicle checks Essential

Skills
