Job Description HGV Class 1 Driver – Store Deliveries - Solihull | £17.00 - £19.00 per hour | Monday to Friday | 03:00-06:00 Starts | Store Deliveries | Temp to Perm | Weekly PayPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Store Deliveries to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands .
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading supplier of household goods, offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing Monday to Friday work, immediate starts and genuine temp-to-permanent opportunities. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, Category CE Driver, C+E Driver, Store Delivery Driver, Trunk Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, HGV Driver or Commercial Driver .Shifts Monday to Friday | Start times between 03:00-06:00 Weekend work available when requiredRates of Pay Monday to Friday | £17.00 per hour Saturday | £18.00 per hour Sunday | £19.00 per hour Weekly payBenefitsAs an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Monday to Friday working Overtime available Weekly pay Temp to Perm opportunities Immediate starts available Early finish on Fridays On-site canteen Vending machines and pool tables Full training provided Employee Wellbeing ProgrammeDay-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include: Completing store deliveries safely and efficiently across designated routes Driving and operating Category C+E (Class 1) vehicles in accordance with all transport legislation Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections before and after each shift Ensuring all loads are secure before transportation Completing delivery paperwork accurately Communicating effectively with transport planners, warehouse teams and customers Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly Assisting with loading and unloading where required Following Driver Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive and all road traffic legislationEssential SkillsTo be successful in this role, you will need: Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence Minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience Valid Driver CPC Card Valid Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Experience operating a range of trailer types Good spoken and written English Professional, reliable and safety-focused approach Flexibility to work overtime when requiredDesirable Experience Previous store delivery experience Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience Experience working within a fast-paced transport operationTraining Provided Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentApplyIf you are looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver role offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, immediate starts and genuine long-term opportunities, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch to discuss the role further.
