Job Description HGV Class 1 Driver – West Bromwich People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich, West Midlands. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver. Shifts
- Thursday to Monday
- Afternoon starts between 14:00 and 17:00 Rates of Pay
- £17.20 per hour (basic)
- £20.00 per hour after 20:00 (Monday to Saturday)
- £22.00 per hour (Sunday) Benefits

- Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)
- Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
- Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
- Delivering cages to DCs and supermarkets
- Completing up to 2 drops per shift Essential Skills
- Valid UK Category CE driving licence
- Minimum of 12 month's experience driving CE vehicles
- Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Punctual with excellent time-keeping
- Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills Desirable Experience
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training Provided
