HGV Class 1 Shunter – Warrington, Cheshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire. This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £18.78 per hour, 4 on 4 off, ongoing assignments, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, paid induction, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading logistics business. Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include: Completing Yard shunting duties, vehicle movements Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently Unitt movements on the yard Ensuring the yard is kept clean and tidy Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential

Skills

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence A minimum of six months' Category C+E driving experience A valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points for minor offences No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes Good spoken and written English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping A good understanding of UK road traffic legislation Strong communication skills Desirable Experience: Previous experience driving commercial Category C+E vehicles Previous shunting experience would be advantageous Training: Driver assessment required prior to starting One-day paid induction following a successful assessment Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply: If you are looking for ongoing HGV Class 1 driving work with excellent rates of pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, and long-term prospects, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
