HGV Class 2 Driver – Bicester, Oxfordshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bicester, Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This role would suit applicants who have worked in a similar role such as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Truck Driver. Shifts: Monday to Friday 07:00 – finish Rates of Pay: £15.00 per hour Minimum nine hours guaranteed each day

Duties

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): Carrying out pallet deliveries throughout Oxfordshire Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre and post journey vehicle inspections Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential

Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category C licence A minimum of 12 month's experience driving Category C vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Good spoken and written English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: Previous commercial driving experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training: Driver assessment required prior to starting Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 2 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contacting our recruitment team for more information.
