HGV Class 2 Driver – Widnes – £16.90–£19.79 Per Hour People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Widnes, Cheshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering £16.90 per hour, overtime at £19.79 per hour after 42 hours, Monday-to-Friday working, weekly pay and long-term ongoing work with a leading logistics provider. £16.90 Per Hour | £19.79 Overtime | Monday to Friday | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Immediate Starts This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Multi-Drop Delivery Driver.

Shifts Monday to Friday Start times between 04:00 and 07:00 Overtime available after 42 hours Rates of Pay Monday to Friday: £16.90 per hour Overtime after 42 hours: £19.79 per hour Weekly pay Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: Ongoing, long-term work with a leading logistics provider Competitive hourly rates Overtime opportunities Weekly pay Stable Monday-to-Friday working pattern First-day assessment and training where required Ongoing support throughout your assignment Immediate starts available Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include: Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently Completing between 5 and 12 store deliveries across the UK each day Maintaining loads at the correct temperatures throughout transit Ensuring all goods are safely secured during transportation Unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering products into stores Completing all required delivery paperwork accurately and on time Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations Following company policies and health and safety procedures Essential Skills Minimum of 24 months' Category C driving experience Valid UK Category C Driving Licence Valid Driver CPC Card Valid Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points for minor offences No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 Strong customer service and communication skills Professional and reliable approach to work Desirable Experience Previous multi-drop or store delivery experience Experience with temperature-controlled deliveries Experience unloading cages using a tail lift Training Provided First-day driving assessment Training provided where required Ongoing industry-related training and support throughout your assignment Apply If you are an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for ongoing Monday-to-Friday work in Widnes , please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
