Job Overview Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business? We are looking for a HGV/Trailer Technician to join our team in Coventry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of trailers for DHL.
Salary and Benefits OTE £50,000+ (OTE based on total average earnings of Technicians in the garage over a 3 month period) Salary Up to £25ph DOE Joining Bonus £2,000 (joining bonus) | All shift patterns considered, we are flexible – minimum 40.25 hours Overtime available paid at £28.58 Additional Benefits include cycle to work, medical benefits, life assurance, 24/7 support, and ongoing reward/recognition schemes.
Responsibilities Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trailers Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation Overhaul electrical equipment and components Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment Welding and metalworking Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation Parts ordering and stores management Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed Qualifications NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar Proficient in using hand tools, power tools Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Opportunities to gain training IRTEC LOLER / Weight Test BPW Operator Licence Awareness Deck Training FLT (new
