Job Description HGV / Van TechnicianLocation: Purfleet, EssexSalary: £20.00 per hour (Negotiable DOE)Our client operating a mixed fleet of HGVs, trailers, vans, and specialist vehicles are seeking an experienced HGV / Van Technician to join their workshop team, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to maximise fleet availability.
Job OverviewCarry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and light commercial vehiclesDiagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faultsComplete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenancePrepare vehicles for MOT testingComplete workshop documentation and service records accuratelyMaintain a safe and tidy working environmentProvide breakdown support when required (rare occasions)RequirementsPrevious experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Technician, Van Technician, or LCV TechnicianStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience working on HGVs, trailers, or light commercial vehiclesAbility to work independently and as part of a workshop teamClass 1 (Category C+E) Licence would be advantageousSalary & Benefits£20.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)Monday to Friday 10-hour shiftsOvertime paid at time and a halfOptional Saturday morning overtimeWorkshop-based role with rare breakdown call-outsLong-term opportunity with a growing businessBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
