Highway Engineer / Senior Highway Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will contribute to highway and public realm design for a mix of public and private sector clients across the UK. You join a growing highways and development planning team, collaborating with multi-disciplinary colleagues and stakeholders to deliver projects on time. You will develop technical solutions and support project management, shaping infrastructure and urban improvement schemes. Responsibilities

• Deliver highway and public realm design projects
• Prepare drawings, reports, and technical documentation using AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and Microsoft Office
• Work within multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clients and stakeholders
• Support the delivery of multiple projects, managing priorities and deadlines effectively
• Contribute to project management, design development, and technical solutions

Key requirements

• Experience in highway design, traffic engineering, or development infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally Civils 3D
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Working towards or holding a relevant professional qualification (ICE, CIHT, or equivalent)
• For Senior Consultant level: experience managing project budgets and financial performance
• For Senior Consultant level: ability to lead project delivery and support business development activities
