History Teacher – Outstanding School (Manchester) Location: Manchester, UK Start Date: As soon as possible Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS (M1 to UPS3) + TLR (available for experienced candidates) Suitable For: Experienced Teachers & Early Career Teachers (ECTs) About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join an exceptional humanities department at an 'Outstanding' rated secondary school in Manchester.
This is a full-time position starting immediately, with the opportunity to teach History across KS3, KS4, and KS5 . Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Foster a love of history and critical thinking among students of all abilities. Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular humanities initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications A relevant undergraduate degree in History or a closely related subject. Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) or PGCE . Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach up to A-Level (KS5) is highly desirable.
A proven track record of excellent classroom management or outstanding placement reports for ECTs. Salary & Benefits Salary scale: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS), commensurate with experience. TLR: Available for candidates looking to take on additional responsibilities.
