About the Role

A well-respected Church of England secondary school in Croydon seeks a dedicated and inspiring History Teacher to join their thriving History department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive and faith-based learning environment.

The History Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching. The school has a strong Christian ethos.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Assess student progress and provide regular feedback. Maintain accurate records of student attainment.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school's Christian values . Collaborate with colleagues within the History department. Contribute to the development of the History curriculum. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians. Adhere to all school safeguarding policies. Skills and

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable). Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History. Strong classroom management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Commitment to continuous professional development. Supportive of the school's Christian ethos. A dedicated History Teacher
