Position: History Teacher Location: Manchester Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 History Teaching Role in an Independent School An independent secondary school in Manchester is seeking to appoint a History Teacher to join its Humanities department from September.

Students are encouraged to develop analytical skills, source evaluation techniques, and confident written communication. About the Role You will teach History across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering lessons that cover a range of British and international historical topics.
Students will develop their understanding of historical interpretation, causation, and significance while strengthening research and essay-writing skills. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level History examinations, supporting them in developing analytical responses and exam technique.
You will work collaboratively within the Humanities department to maintain high standards of teaching and assessment.
