Here at GXO, we are looking for an HR Assistant to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent working on our Sainsburys contract. Youll be a trusted partner to line managers, providing timely, practical and comprehensive HR support while helping to shape and deliver the sites HR strategyboth now and for thefuture.

This is a full-time, permanent, site-based position, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00Pay, benefits and more: Were looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000.00 , and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discountsWhat youll do on a typical day: Applying people policies and processes, ensuring the integrity of local people practices within the site/contractDevelop effective relationships at all levels to establish yourself as a valued member of the HR team in which managers look to for adviceSupporting the site engagement acting as a champion for the sites and promoting the annual surveys, participation and communication of outcomesSupporting the HR Manager with tasks related to performance reviews and company initiativesFirst line query resolution of HR and pay queries, including queries relating to annualised hoursSupport with site absence management including the active management of welfare meetings and occupational health referralsWhat you need to succeed at GXO:Must have worked in HR Administration/Assistant or similar roles previouslyWorking knowledge of employment lawPayroll experience to support with basic queriesStrong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships quicklyAbility to use in house IT Systems in accordance with training provided.

Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPointCIPD Level 3 qualified desirableWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
