Job Description HSE Manager | Permanent | Lanarkshire | £60k - £65kIf you're a senior HSE professional who's tired of operating in a silo, this one's worth a look. This is a broad, genuinely influential role with a precision engineering business that supplies some of the biggest names in global manufacturing.

You'll be responsible for keeping a complex, high-hazard site safe and compliant, but the scope goes well beyond traditional HSE. You'll also be leading continuous improvement activity across the site and overseeing facilities management.

It's a lot, but it's the kind of lot that suits someone who wants real ownership rather than a narrow remit. What the role involves: Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation and company standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001Leading hazard identification, risk assessments, and safe systems of workManaging incident investigations and driving sustainable corrective actionsDeveloping and delivering HSE training, building a proactive safety culture at all levelsDesigning and executing continuous improvement plans using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologiesLeading cross-functional CI projects focused on productivity, quality, and efficiencyOverseeing day-to-day facilities operations including maintenance, utilities, and workplace servicesDriving energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint initiativesManaging vendor relationships, service contracts, and facilities budgetsWhat you'll need: NEBOSH Diploma and CMIOSH status, or working towards itLean or Six Sigma certification is a strong advantageSolid grounding in HSE legislation and risk assessment in a high hazard environmentFacilities management experience covering compliance, maintenance, and sustainabilityThe leadership and influencing skills to drive cultural change across a siteA background in manufacturing, engineering, or similarly complex operational environmentsThis isn't a box-ticking compliance role.
