About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Humanities Teacher to join a well-respected Grammar School in St Albans. You will teach History and/or Geography across KS3–KS5, encouraging debate, critical analysis, and an understanding of the world around us.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Humanities lessons across KS3–KS5. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Organise trips, enrichment events, and fieldwork. Track student progress and provide tailored support. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching resources.
Inspire students to develop a passion for the Humanities. About the School: This selective Grammar School has around 1,100 students and is recognised for outstanding results in Humanities subjects. About You
Degree in History, Geography, or a related discipline. A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent). Experience teaching to A-Level desirable. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A passion for inspiring curiosity and debate.
