About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Humanities Teacher to join a well-respected Grammar School in St Albans. You will teach History and/or Geography across KS3–KS5, encouraging debate, critical analysis, and an understanding of the world around us.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Humanities lessons across KS3–KS5. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Organise trips, enrichment events, and fieldwork. Track student progress and provide tailored support. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching resources.

Inspire students to develop a passion for the Humanities. About the School: This selective Grammar School has around 1,100 students and is recognised for outstanding results in Humanities subjects. The school has an excellent record of progression to Russell Group universities, with many students pursuing History, Politics, Geography, and related disciplines. Key

About You

Degree in History, Geography, or a related discipline. A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent). Experience teaching to A-Level desirable. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A passion for inspiring curiosity and debate.
