Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Junior Hydrogeologist to join our Queensland Mine Groundwater team and contribute to a strong pipeline of exciting projects. As a Junior Hydrogeologist you'll: Support groundwater investigations, water management and impact assessments for mine sites both within Australia and abroadUndertake field work planning including liaising with subcontractors, logistics, scheduling and development of health and safety documentation Carry out field work such as drilling rig supervision, lithological logging, monitoring bore installation, groundwater sampling and aquifer testing across Australian mine sites, this includes remote locationsContribute to hydrogeological analyses, visualizations, and conceptual site modelsPrepare technical documentation, figures, and reports for clients and regulatorsCompile, analyse, and interpret field and project data to support technical assessmentsCollaborate closely with intermediate and senior hydrogeologists to deliver high‐quality technical servicesWork both independently and within collaborative project teams under senior guidanceContribute to project delivery while building strong client relationshipsComply with all relevant SHEQ and safety requirementsWhat you'll bring: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or a related geoscience discipline1+ years' experience in hydrogeology or related fieldAbility to travel away from home office location for up to 14-days at a time, including air travel and overnight staysAbility to work in remote outdoor locations, that may be subject to adverse weather conditions (i.e., high temperatures) Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environmentAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policiesField experience including working with drilling crews, lithological logging, and groundwater data collection (desirable)Experience using GIS or similar tools to visualise data (desirable)Competent technical reporting and data interpretation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsUnrestricted driver's license (required)Why WSP?Imagine a better future for you, and for us all.
