Nights Hygiene Manager Food Manufacturing Greater Manchester Up to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits Permanent Nights An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hygiene Manager to join a highly regarded and growing food manufacturing business at a brand-new site in Greater Manchester.
Operating across multiple sites and food categories throughout the UK, the business has an excellent reputation within the industry and supplies premium chilled products to some of the UKs leading retail customers. As Nights Hygiene Manager, you will take ownership of hygiene standards across the site, leading and developing a growing hygiene team and ensuring the operation consistently achieves the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, highly motivated Hygiene Manager who wants to make their mark within a new facility and play an important role in developing the hygiene function as the site continues to grow. The Role Reporting into the senior site leadership team,
you will
Lead, motivate and develop the night hygiene team, creating a positive and high-performing culture. Take ownership of hygiene standards and performance across the manufacturing facility. Ensure cleaning schedules, procedures and standards are consistently achieved.
Drive hygiene KPIs and continually improve performance across the department. Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, customer and legislative requirements. Develop and improve hygiene systems and processes as the site grows.
Work closely with Production, Technical and Engineering teams to ensure effective hygiene standards across the operation. Ensure the site is audit-ready and meets the standards expected by major UK retail customers. Manage labour, resources, chemicals and equipment effectively.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement sustainable solutions. The Candidate We are looking for an experienced Hygiene Manager, Hygiene Shift Manager or senior hygiene professional with a background in food manufacturing.
You will ideally have: Previous hygiene management experience within food manufacturing or FMCG. Strong knowledge of food hygiene, food safety and relevant legislation. Experience leading, motivating and developing hygiene teams.
A good understanding of retailer and BRCGS standards. Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach to management. The ability to drive KPIs and improve hygiene performance. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
