* Super opportunity to join this global company and take ownership of VAT advisory and compliance for the region. * This is a newly created role pitched at Senior Manager level (or possibly top end Manager looking for a step up), perfect for a qualified UK VAT specialist keen on using their Indirect Tax knowledge practically and to good effect. * The brief will be taking full ownership for the UK entities, while providing oversight and support for other European countries. * This will include compliance review (Excel skills are a must), ensuring accurate and timely filings, managing the relationship with the authorities, and advising the business on VAT implications of major projects. * It sounds like a great role within a sizeable global tax function where you can really make a difference – people who work here are entrepreneurial, intelligently curious and with good stakeholder management skills. * Hybrid working is three days a week in one of their office locations; so you’ll need to be able to commute readily to either Manchester, London or Surrey. * UK VAT career history and qualification essential.
