Infrastructure Automation Architect – Patch & Vulnerability Management

We are looking for experienced Infrastructure Automation Architects / Infrastructure Architects / Automation Architects / Platform Architects to support a major Financial Services organisation as part of a board-sponsored Vulnerability Management and Patch Management transformation programme.

This is a strategic and hands-on architecture role focused on enterprise infrastructure automation, patch management, vulnerability remediation, infrastructure transformation and operational process improvement. You will help define and implement the future-state patch management operating model and automation strategy, working across complex enterprise infrastructure environments to improve patch compliance, automate remediation and significantly reduce the existing vulnerability backlog.

The Role You will assess and redesign end-to-end patch management and vulnerability remediation processes, identifying opportunities to automate manual activities and improve operational efficiency. Working closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Information Security, IT Operations, Service Management, DevOps and Engineering teams, you will define the required architecture, tooling, processes and implementation roadmap.

Key areas will include: Enterprise Patch Management and Vulnerability Management Vulnerability remediation and backlog reduction Infrastructure automation and orchestration Automation strategy and future-state architecture Operating model and process transformation Patch compliance and remediation workflows Infrastructure tooling and technology assessment ServiceNow and ITSM processes Enterprise infrastructure architecture Automation across servers, operating systems, networks, containers and databases Stakeholder engagement across technical and executive teams Defining implementation roadmaps and transformation strategies Improving operational efficiency, governance and security posture Key Skills & Experience We are particularly interested in candidates with experience as an: Infrastructure Architect | Infrastructure Automation Architect | Automation Architect | Platform Architect | Enterprise Architect | Infrastructure Transformation Architect | DevOps Architect | Cloud Infrastructure Architect You should have strong experience in: Enterprise infrastructure architecture Infrastructure automation and orchestration Patch management / patching Vulnerability management Vulnerability remediation Security remediation and patch compliance ITSM / Service Management ServiceNow Large-scale infrastructure transformation Operational process improvement Automation strategy and tooling Enterprise server and operating system environments Network infrastructure Container platforms / Kubernetes Database platforms Working across Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Operations Senior stakeholder and executive communication Experience of reducing large enterprise vulnerability backlogs, improving patch compliance or delivering large-scale patch management transformation would be highly desirable.
