Infrastructure Maintenance Operator

Continental Shift Maintenance Operator Salary: £56,000 per annum + shift allowance Shift Pattern: Continental shifts – 7:00am–7:00pm / 7:00pm–7:00am The Role I'm looking for an experienced Infrastructure Maintenance Operator with a strong electrical background to join my clients engineering team.

This is a genuinely hands-on role, suited to someone who enjoys working across a varied environment rather than being based behind a desk. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of plant, equipment and building services, helping to keep critical systems operating safely and efficiently.

The role operates on a continental shift pattern, so previous experience working rotating day and night shifts is essential. You will also be required to work outdoors and at height, alongside working within plant rooms and other operational areas.

This is therefore a role for someone comfortable working in different environments and tackling practical engineering problems as they arise. What You'll Be Doing Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across plant, machinery and building services.

Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and carry out appropriate repairs, adjustments and remedial works. Undertake installation, maintenance and modification works as required. Complete routine servicing and preventative maintenance in line with planned maintenance schedules.

Monitor plant and building control systems, identify issues and support effective fault diagnosis. Assist with the commissioning and decommissioning of plant and equipment. Work alongside other engineers and operators to complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently. Support and supervise contractors where required.
