Infrastructure Projects Lawyer – Edinburgh 4–6 Years PQE | Edinburgh | International Top-Tier Firm An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Infrastructure Projects Lawyer to join a leading international law firm in Edinburgh.

We are currently working with a highly regarded international law firm with a global network spanning Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, which has a particularly strong reputation across the infrastructure, energy, real estate, financial services and technology sectors.

The firm is looking to strengthen its highly ranked Scottish Projects practice with the appointment of an Infrastructure Projects Lawyer at 4–6 years PQE. The role can be based in Edinburgh, with some flexibility around working from the firm's Glasgow office.

The Role You will join an established and growing Projects team advising a broad range of public and private sector clients on complex, high-value infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland. The team has particular expertise across: * Infrastructure and PPP projects * Student accommodation and university developments * Energy transition and net-zero projects * District heating * EV charging infrastructure * Public procurement * Long-term infrastructure partnerships * Project development, construction and operational matters The successful lawyer will work closely with senior members of the team on a range of significant projects, with an opportunity to develop a strong sector specialism while also gaining exposure to wider infrastructure and PPP mandates.

There will be particular exposure to student accommodation, EV infrastructure, district heating and university-focused net-zero initiatives, alongside opportunities to support the wider Scottish Projects team on major infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.

The role also offers the opportunity to travel to client sites and university campuses across the UK, providing excellent client-facing exposure. The Team This is a highly regarded Projects practice with a strong reputation in the Scottish market and significant international reach.

The wider infrastructure team works across multiple sectors and jurisdictions, advising clients throughout the entire project lifecycle — from procurement and bidding through construction and operation, to handback and expiry.

The team acts for an impressive mix of universities, government bodies, investors, lenders, contractors and private-sector infrastructure businesses, giving lawyers the opportunity to work on matters from a variety of perspectives.

Recent work has included major student accommodation developments, public-sector infrastructure programmes, education projects, healthcare infrastructure, PFI portfolios, EV charging concessions and district heating projects.

The Candidate We are interested in hearing from qualified Infrastructure / Projects lawyers with approximately 4–6 years PQE who are looking to take the next step within a leading international practice. You will ideally have: * Experience gained within a leading commercial or international law firm * Strong experience of infrastructure projects, PPP or long-term partnership projects * Ideally, exposure to public procurement * Experience acting on complex, high-value transactions * Strong drafting and negotiation skills * Excellent communication and client-management abilities * Confidence leading client meetings and calls * Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to legal advice * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills * The ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines effectively * A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients * An appetite to work on sophisticated, nationally significant infrastructure projects This could be an excellent move for someone currently working within a Projects, Infrastructure, Energy, Construction or Public Procurement practice who wants to develop their career within a genuinely international platform.
