Infrastructure Team Leader

Overview

As Infrastructure Team Leader you guide a small team to deliver a reliable, high-performing server, storage and data-centre stack. You will coordinate across internal and third-party resources across international sites and drive automation and improvement of backups, DR and monitoring. You’ll implement new technologies in line with IT strategy while ensuring compliance with IT and security standards. This role combines hands-on infrastructure leadership with change initiatives that support the company’s growth and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of infrastructure specialists
• Monitor, support and maintain server, storage and data-centre infrastructure
• Coordinate activities with internal and 3rd party resources across international sites
• Drive continuous improvement of backups, disaster recovery and monitoring processes
• Identify opportunities to implement new technologies aligned with IT strategy, driving automation
• Maintain standards and ensure compliance with IT and security frameworks
• Lead infrastructure change projects and initiatives

Key requirements

• Experience as infrastructure engineer or systems administrator with strong storage, server and data-centre knowledge, especially Microsoft-based
• Familiarity with hyper-visor technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Proxmox)
• Knowledge or experience with automation/orchestration (Ansible, Terraform) and container platforms (Kubernetes) is beneficial
• Comfortable in a regulated environment and driving compliance with frameworks and standards
• Office-based role with occasional international travel
