Intelligence Operations Analysts
MI5 · London, England ·
For our upcoming Intelligence Operations Analyst opportunities, we'll be running two online insight events on Wednesday 18 November at 12.30pm or 5pm. Each session will last for approximately one hour and the content will be the same across both sessions, so you only need to attend one.
The application window for the Intelligence Operations Analyst role opens on Thursday 19 November at 10am. In the meantime, we encourage women and those from a Black, Asian or other ethnic minority background to register their interest and attend an insight event.

Through a mix of classroom learning and practical experience alongside analytical teams, you'll learn how to use our tools and techniques to assess a range of intelligence, including audio files, images and written communications, large data sets and location data.
You'll then join the analyst team for an initial three-year placement (with the option to extend to four years). Intelligence Operations Analysts at MI5 Your rotating shift pattern will involve a mix of earlies, lates and nights, including weekends.
You'll receive regular days off throughout your shift cycle, including extended periods away from work, plus dedicated personal development time. You'll analyse information as it becomes available from a range of sources, identify patterns and anomalies, and share your findings clearly and accurately to support operational decision-making.
Importantly, you'll never be working alone. The nature of the shifts means we share a genuine sense of camerarderie, and you'll have the support of your team leader and experienced colleagues whenever you need assistance.
Please note that there is a hearing test as part of the application process. This is because the role will involve listening to audio files. If you wear hearing aids, you'll be able to complete the test using them.
