Interim Accountant

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to support our finance team during a busy period. This is a hands-on role requiring an individual who can quickly integrate into the business and provide immediate support across management accounting, statutory reporting, audit preparation, and VAT activities.

Interim Management Accountant (3-Month Contract) Location: Hybrid / Flexible Contract: Interim, 3 Months Initially Rate: c.£300pd Inside IR35 We are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to support our finance team during a busy period.

This is a hands-on role requiring an individual who can quickly integrate into the business and provide immediate support across management accounting, statutory reporting, audit preparation, and VAT activities. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls Assisting with year-end financial accounts preparation Supporting external audit requirements, including schedule preparation and audit queries Preparation and submission of VAT returns Variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the finance function Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required About You Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Proven experience in a Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles Previous experience supporting external audits Good working knowledge of VAT compliance and reporting Strong Excel skills and experience with finance systems Able to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Available to start at short notice or immediately preferred Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
