On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Interim Deputy Senior Security Advisor Inside IR35 for a 3 months contract based REMOTELY with occasional travel to Swindon, Rhal or Cambridge UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is the national funding agency investing in science and research in the UK.

As a Deputy Senior Security Advisor your main responsibilities will be to: Support delivery of strategic objective to collate security risk registers for key business areas and programmes Provide cultural leadership and manage a dedicated culture programme including chairing of the S&R established champion network, defining frameworks and benchmarks for programme success and engaging relevant governance and stakeholder groups.

Proactively manage UKRI's principal strategic level security and resilience risk across Business Continuity and be a driving force for UKRI wide adoption of BIAs and BCPs, and Incident Management improvement mapping. Develop and implement approach to risk register capture in the protective security domain.

Contribute to effective management of the UKRI Security & Resilience Community of Practice

Essential

Extensive experience managing security and resilience risks across one or more security domains- business continuity, physical security, personnel security and travel risk management proven ability to influence stakeholders, develop a positive security culture and provide risk-based advice to senior leaders Experience in governance, assurance, incident management and organisational resilience, with the ability to balance security requirements against operational delivery while promoting continuous improvement and organisational learning. Experience in public sector or arms length body
