Job Description Head of Procurement Falkirk £80-100k Rutherford Cross are delighted to be supporting a major multi-site business in the search for a Head of Procurement to lead and develop procurement activity across a large operational portfolio in Scotland.
This is a 3 month minimum contract with a hybrid approach to working. This is a strategically important leadership role, responsible for driving commercial value, supplier performance, procurement governance and sustainability initiatives across multiple sites and business units.
Working closely with senior operational, finance and group stakeholders, you'll shape and deliver a procurement strategy that supports both regional and wider group objectives.
Key responsibilities will include
Leading the procurement function across a complex multi-site operation Developing and implementing regional procurement strategy Delivering strategic sourcing and high-value contract negotiations Driving supplier performance, cost optimisation and value creation Ensuring robust procurement governance, compliance and risk management Partnering with senior stakeholders to support key business decisions and projects Leading procurement transformation, process improvement and capability development Developing reporting frameworks covering spend, savings, supplier performance and procurement risk To be successful, you'll likely have: Significant procurement leadership experience within a complex operational or industrial environment A proven track record of developing procurement strategy and delivering measurable commercial outcomes Strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management and contract negotiation Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level Commercially astute with experience analysing spend, delivering savings and optimising value This represents an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded organisation at a pivotal stage of its growth and transformation journey, where procurement is recognised as a key strategic function.
