Hays are delighted to be supporting a large and complex public sector organisation with the appointment of a Systems Accountant on an initial 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with a passion for finance systems, digital transformation and data analytics to play a key role in modernising and enhancing the organisation's finance function.
Working at the intersection of finance and technology, this role will be instrumental in driving automation, improving financial processes and delivering meaningful management information through modern finance systems and reporting tools.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance, IT and operational stakeholders to maximise the value of existing systems whilst helping shape the future direction of finance technology across the organisation. The Role Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will act as the subject matter expert for key finance systems, supporting ongoing development, optimisation and integration activities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine technical accounting knowledge with systems expertise, helping to improve efficiency, strengthen reporting capabilities and support strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging automation and business intelligence tools to enhance financial operations and provide valuable insights to stakeholders across the organisation.
