Overview As an iOS Engineer at Yoto, you will shape the iPhone experience used by millions of families. You'll work within the iOS team to deliver high-quality features that align with the product vision and performance goals.
You'll collaborate cross-functionally to create delightful, reliable experiences, including evolving to SwiftUI and maintaining a scalable codebase. This role offers influence over mobile direction and a chance to impact how families discover, manage, and enjoy audio content.
Pay / Benefits Hybrid working (1 day/week in London, flexible in practice) Private medical insurance / Wellbeing allowance Pension contributions up to 3% Birthday off and additional holiday for tenure Sabbatical after 4 years Volunteer days and book allowance Responsibilities Build and ship new high-quality features for the native iOS app following best practices and platform guidelines Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences Participate in code reviews, testing, and iterative improvements to maintain a high-quality, scalable codebase Work closely with the Android team to develop features together Contribute ideas on architecture, standards, and tooling Use automation and AI-augmented tooling to improve efficiency and focus on impactful work Key requirements Native iOS Swift development experience Experience with UI, unit and snapshot testing Familiarity with patterns such as MVVM or MVI Experience consuming third-party APIs Knowledge of Swift and ongoing codebase modernization (e.g., SwiftUI migration) Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Team mindset, blockers flagging, and supporting others Product-oriented with focus on user interactions and quality Swift SwiftUI (experience migrating screens) MVVM or MVI architectures
