IT Asset & Procurement ManagerLocation: Doncaster / LeedsHybrid: 2-3 days onsiteSalary: 50,000-55,000PermanentWe're recruiting an experienced IT Asset & Procurement Manager to take ownership of IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), hardware, software licensing, IT procurement, supplier management, vendor management, contracts and CMDB governance across a large technology estate.

This is a broad role covering the full lifecycle of hardware, software, SaaS subscriptions, cloud services, Microsoft licensing, technology contracts and IT suppliers. You'll work closely with Infrastructure, Service Delivery, IT Operations, Finance, Procurement and senior technology stakeholders, helping improve asset visibility, licence compliance, cost optimisation, governance and supplier performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the full IT Asset Management / ITAM lifecycleManage hardware asset management across laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices and infrastructure equipmentManage Software Asset Management / SAMOversee software licensing, licence compliance, renewals and optimisationManage Microsoft and Microsoft 365 licensingMonitor SaaS subscriptions, cloud services and software utilisationMaintain accurate asset information within the CMDBImprove CMDB accuracy, asset data quality and governanceManage asset procurement, deployment, refresh, retirement and disposalSupport hardware refresh programmes and lifecycle planningManage IT suppliers, technology vendors and third-party providersManage contracts, renewals, negotiations and commercial agreementsSupport IT and technology procurementIdentify cost-saving and cost-optimisation opportunitiesAnalyse software usage and identify unused or underutilised licencesSupport software audits, licensing audits and compliance reviewsImprove IT asset policies, processes and proceduresProduce asset reports, dashboards and management informationTrack IT spend, licence spend and supplier spendSupport budgeting and forecastingWork with Finance and Procurement around purchase orders, invoices and renewalsSupport asset management across multiple sitesWork within an ITIL / ITSM environmentContribute to wider IT transformation and infrastructure projectsSkills & ExperienceWe're interested in candidates with experience across:IT Asset Management, ITAM, Software Asset Management, SAM, Hardware Asset Management, HAM, IT Procurement, Technology Procurement, IT Commercial Management, Supplier Management, Vendor Management, Contract Management, Software Licensing, Licence Management, Microsoft Licensing, Microsoft 365, SaaS Management, Cloud Licensing, Hardware Lifecycle Management, CMDB, ServiceNow, ITSM, ITIL, Asset Discovery, Asset Inventory, Asset Tracking, Software Audits, Compliance, Supplier Negotiation, Contract Renewals, Procurement, Budget Management, Cost Optimisation, Reporting and Governance.

Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow Software, Lansweeper, SCCM, Microsoft Intune or Ivanti would be advantageous. You may currently be working as an IT Asset Manager, Software Asset Manager, SAM Manager, ITAM Manager, Hardware Asset Manager, Technology Asset Manager, IT Procurement Manager, IT Commercial Manager, IT Vendor Manager, IT Supplier Manager, IT Contracts Manager, IT Licence Manager or IT Asset Management Lead.

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a sizeable technology asset estate and improve ITAM, SAM, procurement, licensing, CMDB, vendor management and contract management processes across the organisation.
