Network ManagerWest London | Full Time | PermanentWe're working with one of London's most respected independent schools to appoint a Network Manager to a key senior IT role. The roleReporting to the Director of Digital Strategy and IT, the Network Manager will take ownership of the organisation's technical infrastructure, acting as the senior technical escalation point and leading on network performance, infrastructure improvement, cloud services, security, and project delivery.
What you'll be doingOwn and manage the network and infrastructure estateAct as the senior escalation point for complex 3rd and 4th line issuesLead on wired and wireless networking, switching, routing and firewall configurationSupport and develop both on-prem and cloud infrastructureManage Active Directory, Azure AD and core identity servicesOversee Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and IntuneDeliver infrastructure and IT projects from design through to implementationWork closely with internal stakeholders to scope and prioritise technical initiativesManage third-party suppliers and external technical partnersTake responsibility for cyber security controls, backups, disaster recovery and business continuityEnsure technical services support wider GDPR, data protection and safeguarding requirementsMaintain clear documentation, processes and technical standards across the environmentWhat they're looking forSignificant experience in a senior infrastructure, network or systems roleStrong networking knowledge across VLANs, switching, routing, firewalls and Wi-FiStrong experience with Active Directory and Azure ADStrong Microsoft 365 and wider cloud services experienceExperience with Microsoft Intune and device managementA proven background in resolving complex technical issuesExperience delivering technical projects successfullyA confident communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSomeone organised, credible and comfortable taking ownershipParticularly relevant experienceHPE / Aruba networkingManaging or mentoring technical engineersWorking with external suppliers and contractorsBackup, DR and cyber security solutionsPrevious experience in education or a school environmentWhy this role stands outJoin an exceptionally reputable organisationStep into a senior, visible and trusted Network Manager roleTake ownership of a broad and business-critical technical estateCombine hands-on technical leadership with project delivery and strategic inputWork in a well-run environment where investment in technology is valuedPackageFull-time permanent roleMonday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pmFriday: 8:00am to 4:30pmAdditional hours as reasonably required28 days annual leaveBank holidays plus Christmas closureSalary dependent on experience and qualificationsSalary/Rate:50,000 - 60,000Job type: PermanentLocality: West LondonRegion: London
