Java - Software Engineer

Overview In this Java Software Engineer role, you will deliver high-quality implementation and documentation for critical functionality in an agile, Scrum-based environment. You'll produce code, tests, and integration artifacts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand designs and requirements.

You will contribute to digital transformation engagements and help ensure robust, scalable applications. This role offers hands-on Java development with Spring Boot, DevOps tooling, and a focus on performance and quality.

Pay / Benefits 25 days' vacation per year private medical insurance 3 extra days leave per year for charitable work flexibility and mobility to deliver role onsite with clients and partners Responsibilities Deliver high-quality implementation and documentation for critical functionality Produce code, unit tests, feature tests, stubs and integration tests Operate in an agile environment as part of a Scrum team and participate in sprint rituals Collaborate with team members across multiple skills to understand designs and requirements and triage issues Create and document low-level designs Assist in the promotion and delivery of digital transformation engagements Key requirements Excellent hands-on experience with Java and associated technologies Experience working with Spring Boot Hands-on knowledge of open-source tools, libraries and standards Some working knowledge of containers (Docker) Strong experience with Test Driven Development, test coverage, unit tests, feature tests and test automation Experience in DevOps tooling and Continuous Delivery Good knowledge of non-functional drivers for design, including performance tuning, profiling, and debugging Knowledge of both traditional and agile delivery methods Drive and desire to further skillset and lead in the application domain Good knowledge of Open source and open standards Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Knowledge and demonstrable experience of both traditional and agile delivery methods Strong analytical skills Attention to detail Collaborative mindset Java Spring Boot Open-source tools and libraries
