Full Stack Engineer (Java, Angular/React) Location: Glasgow (Hybrid - Minimum 2 Days Onsite Per Week) Salary: Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35) Contract: Initial 6-Month Contract with a Strong View to Permanent Employment About the Role We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a newly established engineering capability delivering strategic technology solutions within the financial services sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot alongside Angular and/or React . You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering secure, scalable, enterprise-grade applications while contributing to engineering standards and best practices across multiple high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular or React. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions. Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions. Participate in architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviews. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps initiatives, and Agile delivery practices.
Ensure solutions meet security, performance, accessibility, and operational requirements. Work closely with stakeholders to support successful project delivery. Required Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot .
Front End development expertise using Angular and/or React . Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices . Familiarity with Docker , CI/CD pipelines , and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure . Experience working within financial services , banking , insurance , or other regulated environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working within Agile delivery teams. Desirable Skills
