Job Description Joiner Multi Trade We are currently looking for a Joiner Multi Trade to work within a University environment in Preston for a well-established facilities and maintenance contractor. This is a great opportunity to join an established maintenance team responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a busy university campus and its surrounding buildings.
Were looking for an experienced Joiner Multi Trade who is seeking a long-term temporary opportunity, with the potential for a permanent position in the future. Id be keen to speak to anyone with experience working within university, commercial, public-sector, facilities management, property maintenance, refurbishment or similar environments , whether youve previously worked as a Joiner Multi Trade, Carpenter Multi Trade, Multi Trade Operative, Maintenance Operative, Repairs Operative or in a similar role.
As a Joiner Multi Trade , you will be: Carrying out planned and reactive joinery repairs and maintenance across university buildingsCompleting carpentry and general multi-trade maintenance worksUndertaking additional trades including patch plastering, tiling and decorating where skilledDiagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard with a right-first-time approachCarrying out repairs and maintenance to classrooms, offices, communal areas, student accommodation and other university facilitiesWorking professionally around students, university staff, visitors and other contractorsManaging your own workload and completing jobs efficiently throughout the dayResponding to maintenance requests and ensuring works are completed within required timescalesEnsuring company vehicles, tools and equipment are used responsiblyCompleting accurate electronic paperwork and following company health and safety proceduresId love to speak to anyone who has: Proven experience within property maintenance, facilities management, commercial maintenance or a similar environmentStrong joinery/carpentry skills and a broad multi-trade backgroundExperience in additional trades such as plastering, tiling or decoratingThe ability to work independently and complete high-quality workmanshipA professional, reliable and customer-focused approachExperience working in occupied buildings or public-facing environmentsTheir own vehicleThe ability to pass a DBS check if requiredNo formal trade qualifications or tickets are required practical experience and a strong maintenance background are key .This Joiner Multi Trade role is offering the following
