Junior Buyer

GVR Solutions are working alongside a facade and roofing contractor who are specialists in fully supported hard metal roofing, facades, SFS, Rainscreen cladding systems and flat roofing for all types of projects. They are currently looking for a Junior Buyer in which you will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services according to company need and demands of our Roofing and cladding requirements.

Working in close collaboration with our Project Managers, design team and procurement manager, this key role will ensure the procurement and timely delivery of goods and services required by the business.

The Responsibilities of the Junior Buyer: Procurement and scheduling of products, materials, plant, and equipmentEnsuring purchases offer best valueMonitoring and reporting of price increases, updating internal spread sheets.

Tracking orders and proactively addressing any failed or late deliveriesArranging the return of non-conforming productsMaintaining and developing the supply chainProcessing of purchase ledger recordsThe Junior Buyer must have/be: Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills to optimise pricing and commercial termsAbility to forward plan for multiple site projects and prioritise workload across long-lead and real time demandsIdentify potential supply problems and solutionsExcellent interpersonal skills – strong relationship builder and communicatorTakes individual ownership and collaborates to deliver team and company objectivesAbility to undertake take offs would be an advantage (training will be given)Ability to implement and manage sound business processes and proceduresIf you are interested in the Junior Buyer role then please get in touch.
